✨Quality Time with Dad✨

Time spent with dad has a profound impact - not just for children, but for fathers and families as whole. In the midst of the quiet childcare revolution, where more dads than ever before are spending quality time with their kids, it’s important to understand the ways that dads are connecting. How is that time actually spent? What are the activities that are bringing them closer to their children? And what do they believe their children’s favourite activities are?

⚡Attitudes to Digital Use⚡

As we explore these connections, it’s important that we also explore the role of technology. With the digital age continuing to influence how families spend time together, it’s essential to understand how dads view the use of digital technology across different age groups. As parents and professionals grapple with how to prioritise children’s interests in this digital landscape, hearing directly from dads offers valuable insight.

➡️Participation in the Community⬅️

Despite the momentum of the quiet childcare revolution, community engagement remains a challenge for many organisations working to encourage dads’ involvement in their children’s activities. But, how do dads feel about this? Do they feel able, confident, and comfortable in participating? What barriers or facilitators impact their engagement?

In this DADx event, we will explore what over 400 dads from across Scotland shared about these important questions and more. An expert panel will join us to respond to the findings and discuss what they mean for fathers, families, and communities.

Join us and be among the first to hear these valuable insights, connect with other professionals, and engage in the conversation about why Time with Dad truly matters
