The Story So Far - AGM 2016

AGM of Fathers Network Scotland and a glimpse of some of the memorable moments so far in Year of the Dad - Scotland's celebration of the difference a great dad can make.

The Story So Far - AGM 2016

Year of the Dad dashboardThanks to all those who came along to our AGM this week.

It was great to have the opportunity to share a little of the Year of the Dad story so far, including these inspiring facts and figures - and have the chance to talk about some of the experiences that have touched us along the way.

Of course Year of the Dad stands on the shoulders of giants. It has only reached so many people as a result of the hundreds of partner organisations and thousands of individuals who have made it happen.

So it was great to hear your reflections and thoughts about how Fathers Network Scotland should move forward beyond Year of the Dad. The points raised will be written up and distributed to the board this week.

MOVING STORIES

If you didn't manage to get there on Tuesday, here's a chance to see a short film by our tireless videographer Sandy Butler, marking some of the big milestones in the story so far.

From the announcement of YOTD by Scotland's Deputy First Minister John Swinney to Father's Day events and the Edinburgh Fringe sell-out show Being a Dad, the film also remembers the sad loss of YOTD founder David Drysdale in July 2016.

We hope you find it inspiring - and look forward to continuing this important work together as Year of the Dad enters its final quarter!
