Big Monster Mashup Competition Terms and Conditions

1. How to Enter

1.1. To join in the competition entrants will need to draw an illustration as detailed here and either email or post it to Fathers Network Scotland at [email protected] or Fathers Network Scotland, The Melting Pot, 5 Rose Street, Edinburgh EH2 2PR, with their contact details.
1.2. Competition entrants can win an A3 framed print of their winning illustration.
1.3. There will be 10 winners (2 from each age category Under 2s, 2-4, 5-6, 7-9 and 10+) who will be selected by a judge. The decision is final.
1.4. Unfortunately we are unable to return entries to competition participants.

2.When to Enter and Who can Enter

2.1. The Competition opens at 9am on Friday 16th August 2019 and closes at 9pm on Friday 20th December 2019.
2.2. Entrants can enter at any point between these dates.
2.3. The Competition is open to UK residents under the age of 16 excluding anyone professionally connected with the administration of the Competition.
2.4. Automated or bulk entries from third parties will be disqualified.
2.5. Winners will be announced on Monday 6th January 2020.


3.1. The prize for winning the competition will be an A3 framed print of their winning illustration.
3.2. The Prizes are as stated and they cannot be sold or exchanged for cash, goods or services.
3.3. Prizes will be awarded at The Big Monster Valentine's Pyjama Party event in February 2020, or posted to winners after that date if they are unable to attend the event.

4.Data Protection and Publicity

4.1. Any personal data relating to participants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation. By entering the Competition, you agree that Fathers Network Scotland may contact you in relation to the Competition.
4.2. Competition winners will be contacted by Fathers Network Scotland using the contact provided to us on entry to the competition.
4.3. Without expectation of compensation or other remuneration, now or in the future, competition entrants and their parents/guardians give consent to Fathers Network Scotland, its affiliates and agents, to use illustrations entered into the competition in its publications, advertising or other media activities (including the Internet). This consent is given in perpetuity, and does not require prior approval by the competition entrant or his/her parent/guardian. 
5.Competition Rules

5.1. The Competition will be run and Prizes will be awarded at Fathers Network Scotland’s sole discretion.
5.2. We reserve the right to refuse entry into the Competition.
5.3. We reserve the right to change the Competition rules and these Terms and Conditions. If we do so, we will always have the most up to date terms and conditions on the Fathers Network Scotland web page.

6.Liability and Indemnities

6.1. Except in the case of death or personal injury arising from its negligence, or in respect of fraud, and so far as is permitted by law, Fathers Network Scotland and its associated companies and agents and distributors exclude responsibility and all liabilities, whether direct or indirect, arising from:
6.1.1. any postponement or cancellation of the Competition;
6.1.2. any changes to, supply of or use of the Prize; and
6.1.3. any act or default of any supplier, which are beyond Fathers Network Scotland’s reasonable control.
6.2. Fathers Network Scotland will not be liable, whether in tort, contract, misrepresentation or otherwise for loss of profits, loss of anticipated savings, loss of goods, loss of use, loss or corruption of data or information, or any special, indirect, consequential or pure economic loss, costs, damages, charges or expenses.
6.3. You agree to indemnify Fathers Network Scotland against all liabilities, claims and expenses that may arise from any breach of your agreement with Fathers Network Scotland.


7.1. The Competition and these Terms and Conditions are governed by Scottish Law. Scotland shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions.
7.2. This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or LinkedIn.
